Back to school time is creeping upon us ― the kids have only about a week and a half left of summer vacation. We’d like to take a minute to salute one St. Louis Park’s amazing schools. If you live in the Minikahda Vista neighborhood you’re already familiar with Susan Lindgren Elementary. If you’re new to the neighborhood, read on to learn more about this school.
Susan Lindgren serves about 530 students in grades K through 5 with 30 full-time teachers. This gives the school about a 17:1 student/teacher ratio. While that’s not the best ratio in the district, it is the third lowest of all elementary schools.
Susan Lindgren Elementary offers the International Baccalaureat Primary Years Programme, a comprehensive curriculum that includes the basics, within the framework of the IB Program of Inquiry.
The library offers a media center and the school features student artwork in their art gallery.
