Spotlight on St. Louis Park’s Amhurst Neighborhood

One of the most challenging aspects of shopping for a home in St. Louis Park is finding the perfect neighborhood. What constitutes perfection varies from person-to-person which is why we’re sometimes stumped when our clients ask for a recommendation.

This is why we decided to feature a different St. Louis Park neighborhood each month here on the St. Louis Park Real Estate blog. This month, it’s Amhurst. Read on to become acquainted with what is known as “A Village in the City.”

Located in southwest St. Louis Park, north of Highway 7 and south of West 36th St, between Highway 169 and the City of Minnetonka, this townhouse community dates back to the 1980s.

 Amhurst Conveniences

Running errands is easy when you live in Amhurst; it’s only a 2-minute drive to Knollwood Shopping Center in the Aquila neighborhood. Here you can shop at Cub Foods and dine at national chain restaurants such as Panera Bread, Applebees, Subway and Burger King. Also located nearby is Big Lots and a Super Target.

Recreation in Amhurst

If you choose to get your daily activitiy on the tennis courts or in the pool, you won’t have to leave home, because Amhurst has them both. You’ll also find walking paths on the gorgeous grounds, complete with green space and ponds.

Amhurst is comprised of  276 homes on just more than 52 acres in St. Louis Park. Homes range in size and currently on the market you’ll find both a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom unit and a 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom unit, both with garages. Prices range from $165,900 to just under $180,000.
