Have you been to Bunny’s Bar & Grill yet? This is a favorite spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s been open since 1933 in St. Louis Park and the name came from the original owner Henry Aretz, who ended with a sign made my mistake for someone else saying “Bunny’s” and was offered such a bargain that he decided to purchase it.
When the Aretz family sold it to Gary and Sherman Rackner in 1988, it became not just a bar but now a bar and grill when a kitchen was added. It remained a place for patrons to relax, catch the game, converse with friends and enjoy a great meal.
While they were forced to move locations in 1997 after a redevelopment of Excelsior Boulevard, they are now at a great location and keep the original traditions alive. Come check out Bunny’s for a great meal or sit in the back bar now called “Sherm’s.”
