Bar - Image Credit:

Have you been to Bunny’s Bar & Grill yet? This is a favorite spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s been open since 1933 in St. Louis Park and the name came from the original owner Henry Aretz, who ended with a sign made my mistake for someone else saying “Bunny’s” and was offered such a bargain that he decided to purchase it.

When the Aretz family sold it to Gary and Sherman Rackner in 1988, it became not just a bar but now a bar and grill when a kitchen was added. It remained a place for patrons to relax, catch the game, converse with friends and enjoy a great meal.

While they were forced to move locations in 1997 after a redevelopment of Excelsior Boulevard, they are now at a great location and keep the original traditions alive. Come

Last month we submitted our wish for more listings for our buying clients. Our wish was denied. We saw 8 percent fewer homes go on the market compared to April of last year. Combine that with an almost 31 percent hike in the number of closed sales and it’s easy to see why our inventory of available homes in St. Louis Park has decreased almost 17 percent. The median sales price of a St. Louis Park home has increased 4 percent over this time last year to sit at $255,993. It appears that buyers are getting the message that the market is turning against their favor so they’re offering more for homes ― sellers are

Paper or ?

You may not have a choice of what to load your groceries into if the City of St. Louis Park has its way. The banning of plastic, single-use bags is their latest proposal.

Part of our city’s mission is taking on the responsibility for the community’s environmental resources,  so it’s only natural they’d want to rid the area of something as eco-unfriendly as plastic bags.

“We think it’s really important to take this step to make sure we are reducing waste, and plastic bags are things that are absolutely unnecessary,” city council member Anne Mavity told CBS Minnesota.
